A US-based family that has moved back to the Philippines asked us to furnish their home in such a way that would look & feel Filipino yet global.
It was especially enjoyable to work on this project as the owners (Abdul and Heidi) hail from a city that is dear to every Filipino’s heart: Baguio. Pieces from Abdul’s ancestral home were mixed with more contemporary pieces to form spaces that are cozy, unique and personalized. Almost 95% of the items are Philippine-made, and so are the art pieces personally handpicked by Heidi, the lady of the house. Choosing the entry foyer to showcase their collection of masks from their travels was one of my favorite decisions for this project. — Nina
