We have just visited the new Modernbrands showroom in Bagtikan St, Makati and it was a special experience going through an actual, real-life showroom again after months (or years?) of checking out interior products mostly online. For more than a decade, Modernbrands has been a premium source of luxury furniture for Italian kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, walk-in closets, sliding doors, flooring and furniture in Manila and it was a real treat exploring their model kitchens and new products namely Dada, Novacucina, and Falmec cooking systems. Dada’s VDD kitchen (named after Belgian designer Vincent Van Duysen) is a strongly expressive kitchen with sophisticated details that could pass as modern Filipino style. It was easily the team’s favorite as it boasts of a welcoming layout that combines the warmth of wood with modern industrial-inspired materials. Here we are shown their new media cabinet systems popular with clients who want streamlined cabinets with their interiors. Grupo Santamaria’s IDr. Nette Navarro checks out one of the features of the Dada VVD kitchen, a pullout trolley storage that parks easily and hides smoothly out of sight. It was truly wonderful to explore and touch products once again! Nothing beats the tactile experience of feeling materials such as stone, wood, metal, high-pressure laminate, and other interior finishes. Modenbrands also carries doors (can go up to 3 meters height), walk-in closets, and a variety of modern furniture. Cyrene, Danie, Marjorie, and Gretchen enjoying the comfy couches in the showroom. Plenty of storage ideas and choices for your projects. Another crowd favorite for its flexibility in layout (the table can be moved from left to right) and and simplicity in design. And, you can put decorative objects, cooking utensils, and houseplants on that metal shelf! Don’t you think the ever-popular kitchen staple, the humble pothos plant, would look great cascading from that shelf onto the island counter?
